They are designed for the purpose of collecting and loading floating trash and debris onto their storage conveyors, trasnporting the cargo to an off-loading point and discharging the load into a suitable container or transport.
Depending on the size and capacity, Aquatic Skimmer Boats are propelled by hydraulically driven paddlewheels, outboard engine(s), inboard/outboard diesel engine(s) or hydraulic outboard(s) and they are capable of collecting up to 1200 cubic feet (34 cubic meters) of floating debris per load.
